About Flint: the website platform for the agentic web

Flint is an Accel-backed company building the website platform for the agentic web. We’re evolving in three acts. First, we enable companies to generate brand-consistent pages at scale without designers or developers. Second, we transform websites from lead generators into digital sales agents that close deals without humans. Third, we become the definitive interface for consumers and their AI agents to navigate the web. Already in the first act, Flint has enabled companies like Graphite.dev to launch landing pages 20x faster with 50% higher conversion. We’re building the foundation for web presence in the age of AI.

We are a design-forward company—our success depends on excellence in design and brand. Not only will you help build our brand, you'll help elevate the face of the internet itself. You'll be designing the system that could create tomorrow's most iconic brands, turning the static underbelly of the internet into beautiful living creatures.

This is a role for the consummate creative technologist who not only designs, but also codes. You will get to implement product flows you design. You will use the cutting edge web technologies to push the limits of brand design on websites.

Unlike most founding technical roles, this is a unique chance to work with founders who have been in your shoes - our founders were first/second engineers at startups. They understand what it takes to build a successful career as a first engineer, whether you want to develop your IC abilities or gain experience to become a founder.

The Opportunity

Managing digital presence poses major challenges for founders and CMOs. Traditional low-code platforms like Webflow haven't solved the problem—companies still need to hire external Webflow specialists, which slows down growth initiatives. Marketing teams also struggle with fragmented operations across various tools. Additionally, the web as we know it is changing: websites are built by AI, websites are now serving AI (agents), and websites are becoming AI. Flint is helping brands and companies build for the age of AI.

As a design engineer, you will be essential to the 0-to-1 phase of a startup. You will…

• Brand design: Design and extend our brand identity and website and creative assets such as our launch video and social media preview
• Product design: Design the Flint product and its core workflows
• Product vision: Work closely with the CEO to develop product vision
  • Transform low-fidelity concepts into high-fidelity designs while participating in creative brainstorming
  • Explore innovative questions like "What if a website builder could hear and see?" and "How might an AI website builder work without a chat interface?"—then turn these ideas into high-fidelity concepts
• Build and maintain the core frontend application using Next.js and Tailwind CSS
• Contribute to discussions on implementing design systems and component libraries in Flint website templates.
• Contribute to various business functions and help drive our company's growth to the next level
