About Flint

Flint is the first autonomous website platform. We’re building a future where sites can observe, reason and act on their own, adapting in real time to the needs and desires of people and AI agents alike. We’ve raised a $5M seed round led by Accel, alongside Neo and Sheryl Sandberg’s fund, to accelerate this vision. Early adopters include Cognition, creator of the first AI software engineer, and Modal, the leading AI compute platform.

The vision

Sandberg instantly understood Flint’s vision. “I was sharing how, in my personal experience, it took five teams three months to build one A/B test just to increase conversion by 10% on our Google ad,” Lim said. “And then she stopped me, [and] said, ‘Michelle, it was 140 people at Meta who had to do this’.” — TechCrunch

Imagine a world where your website launches new pages, tests creative, and optimizes performance entirely autonomously. Just as autonomous vehicles respond to real-world inputs like road conditions and traffic patterns, Flint-powered websites respond to external signals such as competitive shifts, user behavior, and trending search queries.

If defining how the next generation of websites is built excites you, read on!

The team

One of the most talent-dense AI startups... each member of the early Flint team has a track record... Amazing to watch.” - Dan Levine, Accel

Flint was founded in 2025 by Michelle Lim, Engineer #1 turned Head of Growth and Product at Warp, and Max Levenson, engineering leadership at autonomous vehicle startup Nuro, then Engineer #2 at Vooma (YCS23).

Our small, tight-knit San Francisco team are alums of Scale, Carrot, and Shepherd (YC W21); we work together in-person out of historic Jackson Square.

Early engineer / operator / founder best practices are in our team’s DNA. Because of that, our team knows how to catalyze hockey stick growth — but just as critically, how to navigate it sustainably to create $XB valued companies. After all, we’ve done it before.

The product

Companies have used Flint to hit goals like….

The first version of Flint's autonomous website platform produces on-brand landing pages from content briefs and prompts in minutes. Flint ingests a company's existing design system – components, brand guidelines, and visual tokens – then generates fully-coded landing pages that live on the customer’s top-level domain, on a subfolder at URLs like companysite.com/campaign-name

🥁 And now, what you’ve been waiting for….

The Role

We’re looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to help define how the next generation of websites gets built. You’ll work directly with customers to craft their pixel-perfect, production-ready pages on time and on target - while becoming one of the earliest power users of Flint’s platform and helping fine tune the output and efficacy of our AI agent.

This role sits at the intersection of front-end design, web development, and customer support / success. You’ll be the hands-on builder who stewards the highest polish web experiences for our customers, fine tunes the output of Flint’s AI agents, and provides feedback to our engineering team to drive accurate roadmap prioritization.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you’ll work directly with customers and our internal teams to transform docs and designs into live pages with the help of Flint’s platform.
